Hotel Booking System 

The Peripatus Booking System allows visitors to your hotel website to book rooms online and links directly to the popular Booking Booster channel manager.

The system comes in both standalone and integrated versions and a number of customisable options are available.

How the system works

1) You, the hotelier, keep your room rates and availability on the Booking Booster channel manager rather than on various different agent websites (Venere, Expedia etc).

The Booking Booster channel manager does the leg work of passing your rates and availability to these agents for you.

2) When a customer visits your own website, they click on a booking link and are presented with a window within which they can choose a room and the dates of their stay. 

The room choices available come direct from the room choices that you have supplied to Booking Booster and can therefore be changed by you as often as you like.  Any number of different rate plans and promotional rate rooms can be represented.

3) As soon as the customer makes their search the booking system asks Booking Booster if the rooms are available for the specified dates and shows its findings on screen as below:

4) The search results show the availability of the room (or rooms) on each of the days of the customer’s stay and also for a few days either side. 

The search results also optionally show the rate of the room on each day to allow the customer to adjust their choice based upon room rate.  This behaviour can be switched off if you wish.

5) Once the customer has found a stay that is to their liking they are presented with a summary.

6) What happens next is again customisable.  You may wish to have your customers do any of the following. All are catered for within the system:

• Pay in full.
• Pay a deposit based on a percentage of the total cost.
• Pay for the cost of one night’s stay.
• Pay a fixed deposit amount.
• Not pay anything, with the room being “on request only”.
• Securely provide credit card details for payment at a later date.

If the customer is to make payment, again this is customisable.  The options are:

• Direct the customer to a payment provider such as PayPal, WorldPay, ProtX etc.
• If you have an existing website and an existing relationship with a payment provider then you could use them, otherwise we will be able to talk you thorough the pros and cons of each.
• Securely take the customer’s credit card and contact details to allow you to complete the transaction yourself as and when required.
• Use the system’s own dedicated payment gateway to take payment.

7) After paying, providing their credit card details or lodging their request, the customer is finally taken to a confirmation screen and sent an email summarising their transaction.  This email will appear to come from your hotel and will contain your contact details and your terms and conditions.

At the same time, the booking system will send all of the details of the booking to the Booking Booster channel manager so that it is appraised of the transaction and can adjust your rates and availability accordingly.

8) Finally the Booking Booster channel management system will send you an email detailing the booking (or request) which will include a link to allow you to view your bookings in Booking Booster itself.

 
The Two Different Versions

The Peripatus Booking System comes in two different versions: standalone or integrated. 

These versions are functionally identical, differing in their appearance and setup costs only.

The Standalone Version

The standalone version is very easy to start using and you may wish to begin with this first before moving to the integrated version at a later date. 

To start using the standalone version you simply need to start up a subscription of any Booking Booster account and request the "Standalone Booking System" by email.  If you already have an account please send us a request for the "Standalone Booking System" by clicking here.

You will then need to put a link out to the Peripatus Booking System on your existing website.  We can help with this.  Customers clicking on this link will then be taken to the Peripatus Booking System and returned to your website after booking.

Optionally the appearance of the Peripatus Booking System can be changed to make it look more like your existing website but even without this the system will retain your website logo and present itself as representing your hotel, giving your customers peace of mind.

The Integrated Version

You may have tired of your existing hotel website, it may have become out of date, lack modern features or be costly to maintain.  We have experience of building a great number of different hotel websites, often working within the restrictive design constraints of the various hotel chains.

Our Hotel websites can be built in slick modern styles and each incorporate a fully featured Content Management System (CMS) to allow you to tweak their content to your heart’s desire.

The integrated version of the Peripatus Booking System comes part and parcel with a custom built Hotel Website, appearing identical to it in terms of look and feel and giving your customers a consistent online experience. 

Users entering the booking system will still be able to see the menus and other parts of the rest of your website since the booking system is part of it – they will be secure in the fact that they are still with you.

An added benefit of the Integrated Peripatus Booking System is that the system keeps a record of the bookings that it has sent to the Booking Booster channel manager and these can be viewed within the Content Management system itself.  A one stop shop!  The status of each booking is clearly displayed so that you can keep track.
